The three external backlinks I have looked up are

·         www.youtube.com

·         www.sheridancollege.ca

·         www.osap.com

The external backlink results for YouTube were 1,755,395,041. For Sheridan College the external backline results were 37,255 and for OSAP the external backlink results were only 12.

From looking at the number of external backlink results this shows that YouTube has an excellent number of backlinks, Sheridan College results aren’t so bad and OSAP’s results are really bad.

Using Google PageRank

I looked at the following webpages:

https://www.youtube.com

The ranking was 9/10 which is considered high.

https://www.sheridancollege.ca

The ranking was 6/10 which is considered medium.

www.osap.com

The ranking was 0/10 which is considered really low.


From identifying 3 websites for my search on PageRank, I believe these ranks are reasonable and I did not find any surprises because YouTube seems like a really high importance to web pages and as for the other two websites I have checked out, they seem like they’re not as important to web page industry.
