Blogging about Analytics Questions

One of the questions selected from the five choices I had, I selected the third one “What is your bounce rate?  What does this mean?”

·         Bounce rate is 52.17%

What this means is that the bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. percentage of visitors who have arrived and immediately left)

Question # 6

My most visited blog is the overall blog website that I have. It was at 66.07% or 37 pageviews. I used the number of pageviews and the percentage because to me numbers are really easy to understand. I found this out by going on the content overview and it displayed me all the results for each of my blogs.

Question # 7

My least popular blog posting is the Google analytics post because I have just recently posted it and individuals haven’t got a chance to take a look at them yet. For this question I used the same method by going on the overview of the content on the Google analytics website and it displayed a result of 1.79% or 1 pageview.  I used this method again because for me it’s a simple outline of all my blogs that are posted and I am able to view it using numbers and see which ones are scored highest to lowest.

Google Analytics

What I have learned about Google Analytics is that it is a web service that provides results and statistics for marketing purposes. On this particular web service Google Analytics offers data visualization that shows us who visits your blog, unique visitors, page views, pages visited, average visit duration, and new visits. It also provides a whole overview of who has visited your blog. You can also check out the demographics, behaviour, technology, and mobile trends of what is happening on your blog. Google analytics is good to use to view and track who is viewing your blogs and potentially build long-lasting relationships with clients for marketing purposes and keep up to date with clients or people who enjoying viewing the same interests as you. Another cool feature I found out is that you can see from which areas the individuals are viewing your blog from. Google analytics are easy to use, implement, and understand and the thing about this is that you really need to get your word out there for people to visit your page because there are no automatic bots so you cannot really get more hits on visits, which is a really good thing but a disadvantage for a company if they cannot get the word out. Lastly, this web service is for free and it’s safe to use. I would recommend using Google Analytics for anyone who wants to track the number of people visiting their site.
